The 2011 season here in Canada has been amazing! we began the season with a high water spring which helped have all the spots for the different competitions at an awesome level, thanks Mother Nature.
The first event this season was the level six competition held on the Champlain bridge on the Ottawa River. the level of water was perfect, lots of boaters, lots of people watching, great music it was a fun event. unfortunately I wasn't able to get any footage of the comp but here goes a fun little edit I did of a session at the wave check it out.

After the level Six competition I had the chance of being part of the first Whitewater Grand Prix ever to happen. two weeks travelling across canada surfing huge waves paddling creeks and rivers at crazy water levels. here goes an edit of the 2011 Whitewater Grand Prix highlighting some of the best moments of the whole competition check it out!

right after the grand prix came to and end i had to get back to gatineau for work but me and my buddie Aniol Serrasolses kept riping arround between montreal and ottawa the next event to come was the Rouge Challenge on the rouge river in quebec competition held by "kayak pour la vie" but the day before the competition we decided to go give a look to the chute de plaisance Riviere de la petite nation in Quebec which happened to be running at a crazy flow, after some scouting we gave it a go resulting in some serious beat down. here is an edit from aniol serrasolses of both chute de plaisance and the rouge challenge enjoy!

After an unfortunate second place in the race in the rouge challenge i got back to work in gatineau and kept paddling during the weekends on the ottawa, gatineau and rouge rivers runing, surfing and freestyling all we could find, this is an edit i made of my latest kayaking adventures check it !
